Pioneer Park

Pioneer Park is a City of Kamloops riverside park at 40 7th Avenue, beside the South Thompson River. Its shoreline includes a public beach, while the park’s open space and multi-use pathway provide opportunities for walking, picnicking, and enjoying views of the river.

Park amenities include picnic tables, public washrooms, water fountains, and a boat launch. Dogs are permitted off leash on the beach when kept under control and in accordance with City bylaws. Swimming is not permitted because of strong currents, unstable riverbanks, drop-offs, debris hazards, and other river-safety risks.
