Project X Theatre is back with another exciting season of family friendly summer programming! X Fest 2018 will run in Prince Charles Park from July 9th to 28th, 2018 and features an exciting new, female led, retelling of The Three Musketeers (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings) and The Three MUNSCH-Keteers (Tuesday and Friday evenings – often at both 5pm and 7pm), a zany adventure highlighting five Robert Munch stories. Plus, there will be two Pay-What-You-Can Matinees: The Three MUNSCH-keteers on Saturday July 14 at 2pm and The Three Musketeers on Saturday July 28 at 2pm. The PWYC Matinees allow Project X to make outdoor summer theatre accessible to everyone. Tickets for the PWYC Matinees are only available at the door.
In this brand new adaption from Kamloops’ own Dušan Magdolen, the women take centre stage! Follow Diane as she leaves Gascony for the big-city promise of Paris. She disguises herself as a man in an attempt to make her dream of joining the King’s Musketeers come true, but first she’ll have to contend with Athos, Porthos, and Aramis, who may have more in common with her than she could have imagined. This spirited retelling of the classic story features intense romance, raucous drinking, courtly intrigue, and more fights than you can shake a sword at!
