(Kamloops) New Democrats in Kamloops-North Thompson are celebrating the defeat of Christy Clark’s BC Liberal government and look forward to John Horgan forming a government at the invitation of Lieutenant Governor Judith Guichon.
“After senseless delays and childish political maneuvering, Christy Clark has been forced to step aside for a more caring government” said Crawford. “For 16 years the BC Liberals looked after themselves and their well-to-do friends; today New Democrats and Greens put an end to that.”
Barb Nederpel, Kamloops-North Thompson NDP candidate in the May 2017 election is eager to see the new NDP government get to work with the support of the three Green MLAs.
“We now have a government that will work tirelessly every single day to make life better for people” said Nederpel. “John Horgan and his team have a lot of work to do to fix the problems British Columbians are facing and they are ready to get started.”
Over the last few weeks, BC NDP leader Horgan repeatedly suggested that Christy Clark step aside so that British Columbians can have the new leadership and government they deserve. A government that makes life more affordable for people, fixes the services people count on and builds a sustainable economy with good-paying jobs.
