Joel Hofer made 34 saves and three more in the shootout to help the Portland Winterhawks to a 2-1 shootout win over the Blazers.

Dylan Garand had a solid night with 33 saves and stopped two of three shooters. Connor Zary had the Blazers goal with a shorthanded marker and Kade Nolan had the goal for the Winterhawks with Seth Jarvis scoring in the shootout.

Both teams were 0-for-4 on the power play. These two teams will meet again on Saturday night for the annual Teddy Bear Toss Game at 7:00pm at the Sandman Centre.
