Our volunteer riders are proud to have served our community and its visitors since 1992. We have extended a warm western welcome to many hundreds of thousands of guests stopping in Kamloops.
Java Mountain News is the only solely owned and operated newspaper on the Kamloops North Shore. Java Mountain News is an entertainment newspaper in Kamloops, published on Fridays and is distributed to cafes, coffee shops, medical offices and virtually any place that has a waiting area for its clients.
The Kamloops Arts Council exists to encourage, support and promote artists, specifically emerging artists. We are a registered non-profit organization who welcome new members that are looking for an avenue of support to develop their artistic talent.
CFBX is a campus-based community station, and as such, it generally adheres to the policies, ideas and ideals of other campus stations, coast to coast. To make a long story short, CFBX is an alternative radio station that specializes in local programming and offers music and spoken-word shows that are normally not heard on private stations.
Big Brothers Big Sisters offers a variety of programs to meet the needs of children in our community. Our volunteers can enroll in a program that suits their lifestyle so the ensuing friendship will be meaningful and fun! Mentoring is about the power of friendship. The volunteers and young people in our programs experience the magic of everyday moments when they are shared with a friend. Everyone needs someone to laugh with, share a dream with, and just hang out...

Lost Sheepy and Blankie

Description:   On Saturday February 16th my son lost his Blue Finding Nemo backpack that had a well loved sheep and blankie in it. We think the backpack was left on top of the vehicle leaving westmount. If anyone has found it please call me... My son and mommy are very sad. The picture below is about 3 years old, but just so you know what sheepy looks like.. Thanks for your help
