Start Your House Cleaning Business for the Holidays
Gail Metcalf

Did you know that we have just passed the slow season for the House Cleaning trade? And we've just entered the best time to start a house cleaning business due to all the new holiday customers that are available.

If you've been thinking about starting your business then you absolutely have to get off the fence and start doing something about it now! Professional house cleaning is the one business that you can start now and make immediate money. Timing is everything and the perfect time is now!

I get really charged up during this time of the year because there are so many exciting things going on:

  • Plans are being made
  • There's shopping to do
  • Parties are being scheduled
  • Relatives and friends are renewing ties
  • With all this busy activity, many people just find it too overwhelming to keep their house tidy and actually are like you; they're on the fence thinking about finding someone to clean their house.

But they've heard "stories" about a lot of cleaning companies; who can they trust? Even their friends are leery to provide them with a credible referral. Horror stories about damage from spilled chemicals, vacuums that have burned their carpet, even theft of their personal items.

These people are looking for reliable professionals and they have very specific criteria. You can be one of those house cleaners to fit their criteria.

But you're still sitting on the fence wondering if starting your own business is the right thing to do. I'll be the first to ask you "why not"?

  • Are you concerned about what could go wrong?
  • - Will you miss a steady paycheck?
  • - Are your family and friends questioning your judgment?
  • Only you can decide to finally go forward and take a chance. But I wouldn't recommend you do that without knowing all the issues that exist in building and running your own house cleaning business.

It used to be the lone cleaner that people were looking for. Now that house cleaning customers have become more educated on what their options are, they want a professional service that has policy and procedures.

How do you start when you're just a lone cleaner? There are ways to present yourself so these educated house cleaning customers will accept you and give you the job. And that's the key to your success.

Why would you NOT start your house cleaning business right now with all the companies that are outsourcing to India, China, the Philippines and more countries every month? Your job is no longer protected. And retirement is becoming a thing of the past. Your future working for someone else has never been in more jeopardy than right now.

If you want to realize your ambitions, stop listening to everybody else, and stop listening to your negative and contrary thoughts. Start thinking positive and take a calculated risk. Make sure you have covered your risk by finding and applying the best information available. There are ways to guarantee your success with a new house cleaning business; you just have to be willing to find them and make your commitment.

Holiday customers are waiting for you; why are you still on the fence?
