Kamloops & District Humane Society
The Kamloops & District Humane Society is made up of a group of dedicated volunteers who have worked tirelessly on behalf of companion animals and their owners since 1992.
Our mission is to help create a community which is concerned for it's
animals. We assist animals in distress, whether they are abandoned,
feral, injured or
homeless.
We give shelter and compassionate care to stray and abandoned domestic animals and find them permanent, loving homes.
We are committed to improving the welfare of all companion animals in the Kamloops region by offering spay and neuter programs. Through these programs, thousands of low income pet owners have been able to have their pets altered at prices that are affordable to them.
We manage several colonies of feral cats, all of whom have been spayed or neutered. They live out their lives, without reproducing, and we provide food and water to them on a daily basis.
Funds are raised through private donations, adoption fees, flea markets, yard sales, craft fairs and just about anything else we can think of to help provide the funds needed to care for all the animals.
New members are always welcome.
Donations are gratefully accepted and can be sent to:

Foster Homes Urgently Required:
There are an ever increasing number of cats and dogs requiring foster homes. We are hoping to find more kind people who would be willing to open their hearts and their homes to a temporary, 4-footed family member whom they would care for until forever homes come along. It's a wonderful way to help save the lives of homeless pets. Please call 250-554-1371 for more information.
This charmer has purrrrr-sonality plus! Not only is he a handsome fellow but he is one of the most affectionate and loving cats we have ever seen. :-) He is a one year old chocolate point Siamese X with very unusual markings. His owners abandoned him outside of Kamloops. How could anyone do such a awful thing!?!?! :-( When he came to us he had a bad kitty cold and some old abscesses that hadn't been treated. He is now over his cold, his wounds have healed and he has been neutered, tattooed and vaccinated. All we need to do now is to find him an awesome new home. He would do well as an inside/outside cat as he is accustomed to going out. Please contact Barbara at 250-554-1371 or email kamloopshumanesociety@gmail.com Mickey says "MEOWWW". (I think that means thank you in cat speak....... or maybe he just wants some tuna). :-P
FERGIE is a lovely pure white female cat who is about 2 years old. She is also a rare POLYDACTYL who has extra toes on all of her feet. Fergie is sweet and cuddly but prefers a quieter home without young children. She loves people, other cats and doggies. She is spayed, tattooed and current with her vaccines. Please call Barbara at 250-554-1371 or email kamloopshumanesociety@gmail.com to find out more about this fantastic feline.
CUDDLES lives up to her name. She loves to cuddle! She's a great little kitty who is playful and sweet. 250-554-1371 or email kamloopshumanesociety@gmail.com
