| Community Futures Development Corporation of Thompson Country is a federally funded not-for-profit organization that is guided by a volunteer Board of Directors and a strong team of professionals.
CFDC Thompson Country is a community based organization funded by Western Economic Diversification and Human Resources Development Canada. In addition, we have working partnerships with the Canadian Youth Business Foundation, the Women's Enterprise Society of BC and the City of Kamloops.
We offer a variety of programs and services designed to help new and existing businesses in the Thompson Region access the skills, information and financing they need to be successfully self-employed. In order to carry out the mission of CFDC Thompson Country, the Organization has identified a number of key objectives. |
| The newly formed Kamloops Central Business Improvement Association is the culmination of many years of work by very dedicated individuals. The dream in 1968 to form a coalition of property holders and retailers around a common purpose has finally been realized with the formation of the Business Improvement Area in December 2001. This central area currently encompasses all those businesses and commercial properties form the west side of Tenth Ave, the north side of Columbia, the east side of First Avenue and the Thompson River. |

| Membership driven, SICA is a non-profit Association, which represents over four hundred construction industry members involved in industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors. Committed to helping members through communicating information and opportunities, developing and delivering appropriate services, and supporting industry standards, SICA looks to benefit the industry as a whole. With offices in Kelowna, Kamloops, Vernon, Penticton, Castlegar, and Cranbrook, the association covers the area south of Williams Lake to the US border and east of Hope to the Alberta border. As a progressive organization, SICA strives to promote growth and education in the construction industry. |
| The Valleyview and East Business Association was formed in September 1998 to promote existing businesses in east Kamloops and to attract new businesses to the Kamloops East area.
Our area currently extends east from the Valleyview Interchange and south from the South Thompson River to the Kamloops city limits. This comprises the Valleyview, Rose Hill, Dallas, Barnhartvale and Campbell Creek areas.
Membership is voluntary and open to all businesses in the area. Licensed home-based businesses from the area are welcome to join as full members. Businesses from outside the area are also welcome to join as non-voting members. Non-business organizations are also welcome. |
