The Outreach Centre is home to a variety of services here in the heart of Kamloops. We are open five days a week to the public from 9am to 1pm.

Big Brothers Big Sisters offers a variety of programs to meet the needs of children in our community. Our volunteers can enroll in a program that suits their lifestyle so the ensuing friendship will be meaningful and fun! Mentoring is about the power of friendship. The volunteers and young people in our programs experience the magic of everyday moments when they are shared with a friend. Everyone needs someone to laugh with, share a dream with, and just hang out...

Police Seek Stolen Audi

On September 2nd, 2010 at approximately 1:00 pm, two unmarked RCMP police vehicles were struck by a car driven by a male who police were attempting to apprehend after he was located driving a grey, four-door, 2006 Audi confirmed stolen out of the Lower Mainland. The male managed to elude capture by ramming both police vehicles prior to fleeing the scene. To ensure the safety of both pedestrians and the motoring public, the vehicle was not pursued.

One member sustained minor injuries while attempting to stop the vehicle from fleeing the scene. Several General Duty members as well as Air Services responded quickly and made patrols for the stolen vehicle.

A local Kamloops female with numerous warrants of arrest was identified as a passenger in the stolen vehicle. As a result of this identification, RCMP will be seeking a further warrant of arrest for Possession of Stolen Property, Breach and Assault with a Weapon.

At this time, both the vehicle and its occupants remain at large. Kamloops Action Response Team members continue to investigate the incident and are requesting anyone who witnessed the occurrence, or who may have information regarding the whereabouts of this vehicle to contact police.

The vehicle is described as a grey, four door, 2006 Audi with a BC plate of D6 1621. This vehicle sustained significant damage to both the front and back passenger sides. If located, please do not attempt to approach the vehicle or its occupants. If safe to do so, take note of the vehicle’s location and its occupants and call the Kamloops Detachment at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
