Kamloops RCMP is looking for witnesses to an altercation inside Outbacks Bar early Thursday that left a man seriously injured.

On September 2, 2010 at about 12:38 am, the Kamloops RCMP responded to a report of an assault between several males at the Tranquille Road establishment. At least one male had been struck and injured by a bottle. Two males needed medical attention although one of the injured men was treated and released.

A 47 year old male was transported to hospital with a head injury that may result in the loss of the victim's eye. The investigation into this assault is ongoing and due to heavy levels of intoxication by all parties alleged to have been involved, police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the assault or who has further information to contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS)
