CFBX is a campus-based community station, and as such, it generally adheres to the policies, ideas and ideals of other campus stations, coast to coast. To make a long story short, CFBX is an alternative radio station that specializes in local programming and offers music and spoken-word shows that are normally not heard on private stations.
Since 1957, the BC Paraplegic Association (BCPA) has been a vital link to the community and successful independent living for thousands of people with spinal cord injuries. There are over 5000 people living in BC who have a permanent spinal cord injury that affects every aspect of their lives. Over 400,000 British Columbians have a disability that affects their mobility.

The Kamloops Symphony is a community resource providing live orchestral music performances, music education programs and related music services for the citizens of the Kamloops region. It is one of the major arts organizations that form the core of a thriving arts community in the city of Kamloops.
The AIDS Society of Kamloops (ASK) is a local agency that is dedicated to helping those in need in our community. The mandate of ASK has broadened to include providing awareness, education, advocacy, housing, and support related to HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, marginalization and persons at risk, in order to develop healthier communities.
